    The 1930 National Guard IIlustrated Training Regulations is a 2 inch thick publication of detailed instructions for every phase of National Guard Operations. It begins with The National Guard As a Federal Force a 15 page lecture in October 3, 1929  at the Army War College delivered by Col. John w. Gulick. It is followed by Notes on National Guard Training 1928-1929 and goes on to to illustrated Training Regulations with instructions on every phase of National Guard Operations. It covers:Notes On National Guard Training, Officer Infantry Training, Physical Training,Radio Procedures, Scouting and Patrolling Dismounted, Ammunition and Small Arms, Enlisted Men,  and Commissioned Officers. There also are illustrated regulations for Field Music-The Bugler with sheet music for Bugle Calls plus much more. This is an interesting publication about the history and operations of the National Guard in the 20's and 30's.
