Antique 1 Qt. Brass DAYTON Fire Extinguisher **EMPTY**

Description

Antique 1 qt., brass Dayton fire extinguisher. Manufactured by The Dayton Fire Extinguisher Co., Dayton, Ohio. There is no patent, "Patent Applied For", but I believe it to be of a late 19-teens to the mid 1920's vintage because of the bi-wing airplane on the label.  Their later single wing model has a last patent date of 1928. There are two brass labels; the larger Dayton label and a smaller Underwriters' Laboratories label. The extinguisher has been machine buffed, hand polished and clear coated. It is
EMPTY
and the pump handle does move in and out, but it is being sold as a collectible item only. The extinguisher is in excellent condition except for some small areas of dezincification on the label and a crease/dent on the lower right corner of the UL label (see pictures). Measures approx. 14" x 3".
Unless my items are listed as New or MIB (Mint In Box/Bag) they are used, so expect there to be some wear and signs of usage.
