Antique Older Style DB Smith Indian Tank Sprayer for Firefighting External Pump

For auction is an antique Indian tank sprayer for fighting brush fires where the water must be carried to the scene of the fire. It was manufactured by D B Smith and Company of Utica NY. This sprayer is rare in that the more modern Indian tanks utilize a pump built into the handle that acts like a piston to build pressure to allow the water to spray. This one uses an external pump that moves the brass cylinder on top up and down to build pressure. The tank is undamaged and not badly dented. The two Smith decals are mostly readable. Of course, the seals and the hose have deteriorated from age and need to be replaced.
