  • Make: Piper
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
  • Aircraft Type: Piper
  • Condition: This factory original information manual is still in rather good used condition. The cover is mostly clean and nice and unabused, however, both the front and rear cover show just a faint bit of yellow from some felt pen notes that bled through a tad from both the inside front cover and the inside rear cover. A piece of paper, once tucked into the book at page 2-1, has yellowed a few pages, both forward and aft. There is a former owner's name written at the top of the inside front cover, an N-number written at the top of the first page, and a couple small pen marks were found on pages 2-7, 5/24 and 5-25. Small pencil marks or notes were found on most all the performance charts in Section 5, and page 6-10, and all removed by soft eraser, faint artifacts may be visible. The spine had been cracked open (as is so common with these manuals) at about page 5-25, and re-glued. There are no loose or missing pages or sections. There is light patina throughout as you might expect. See the photos.

    Description

Piper Dakota Information Manual PA-28-236.  Piper number 761 689.  Issued June 1, 1978, and to Revision 14 dated December 11, 1986, for the 1979 and up model years.  This factory original information manual is still in rather good used condition. There is light patina throughout as you might expect of a manual of this vintage.  That is it.  The book is still nice and usable with no other writing or markings, no highlighting, no torn or loose or missing pages.  The corners are still rather sharp and the book lays flat.  See the photos.  Sure, this one had been opened wide and studied a bit, but it is sound and complete and not particularly marked up inside.  Printed sometime after December 1986, this manual is still in fairly good shape especially for being over 35 years old.  Always check for revisions, supplements, and updates with vintage manuals.
