Vintage S.O.S. Fire Guard Brass 1 1/2 Quart Fire Extinguisher - 1940s/50s

Description

Vintage brass -S.O.S- Fire Guard 1 1/2 quart fire extinguisher, manufactured by The General Pacific Corp., Los Angeles, California, USA.  It is in good overall condition for it's age.  The front label is in nice shape and is completely legible.  There is a shield on the label with the company logo and it reads “Stops Fire Like Magic".  Underneath the shield it reads "Ejects S.O.S. Fluid".  The lacquer coating on the extinguisher has staining and wear which are commensurate with the age of the extinguisher; however it would polish up nicely if someone wanted to invest the time.  Extinguisher measures 17” long with a diameter of 3”.  Please see photos for detail of condition.  It is Empty.
